"They Were Killed In A Barn" - Libby & Abby

Today, I really think this rumor needs to be addressed.

I chose this rumor to study first because I'd really like for my readers to join me in this research.

We all know that Ron Logan's property was searched, including the barns on his property.

I personally don't know whether any other barns in the area have been searched.

There was a home on Bicycle Road searched as well and no arrests.

So, for the moment, we'll assume the rumor is still true.
"They were killed in a barn."

Law Enforcement must have come upon a scene of two brutally attacked girls, with a clean perimeter, a clean scene.  This would bring them to conclude Libby and Abby were abducted and later dumped to be found.

If that were the case, how far do you believe a killer who just abducted two teenage girls would drive, in order to have privacy enough to carry out a gruesome, brutal beating and rape of both?
If the plan were to return the bodies to be found, I personally don't think they'd drive an extreme distance.

We also have to look at this - if they were abducted, taken to a barn, beaten, raped, killed, and returned to be found, there was a reason for them to be found.

There was a message lying in the leaves with those two girls that day.  We just have to decode it.

So, let's look at a few barns in the area.  Not many.  I won't include the two areas where we know search warrants were served.

When I think about this killer, I picture a local guy(s) that rides a 4 wheeler through that area, hunts that area and knows every deer trail like the back of his hand.  With that said, he would also know where every barn is.  These structures are good hunting sheds, good protection from the weather when you're hiking or 4 wheeling and a storm comes through.

Any of these barns, cabins, structures would be less than a 15 minute drive from the end of the bridge to the structure and less than 10 minutes to deliver the bodies from the structure to the cemetery.

The first structure - blue border

If you notice, there is a small dirt road leading from the back of the property to the barn (the spot where the dot marks 4500-5138 450 West). There is actually a dirt turn off to drive up into the woods, in front of the barn.  However the line you see leading to it is not the route in and out.

There are three structures in this same area with dirt roads that lead through the woods to each one.

I believe if any barn was used during the dark hours, the route to return the bodies would've been to the cemetery and down the deer trail to avoid any activity at the entry of the Monon High Bridge Trail.

If they were already dead, wrapped up and dragged there, disposing of clothing in the creek before leaving, it would not have taken long to dump the bodies and move on or blend in.  A barn would also provide complete privacy for whatever length of time it would take for him/them to complete the job.

If the girls were abducted and taken to a barn, this would solidify the theory of the killer being familiar with the area and most likely familiar with one or both of the girls.

If the attack itself happened there by the creek, if they were murdered 50 feet from the creek bank, why didn't anyone hear or see anything?

I'd like to give credit to the person who took these pics.  They were passed to me to share without the original source.

These are photos taken by someone who visited the crime scene.  We can clearly see through the woods with the bridge itself being visible from the scene.

We're only talking about a distance of 500 to 700 feet between the bridge and the crime scene.  The trees were bare as we can clearly see.

I realize it is possible the murders happened at this crime scene.  It would have taken some effort to keep two teenage girls quiet and to keep their beatings quiet.

Were they killed where they were found?

Imagine it, just picture it for a moment.  Picture the scuffle, the initial resistance.  Picture Libby fighting like hell because the authorities said she did.  Her grandfather said she did.  Picture them being beaten, picture them being raped (yes rape is currently a rumor).

Was it possible to carry out this crime, here at this scene and go unnoticed?

Let's throw a couple of more rumors in here before we really try to picture these things.

"Their throats were slit."  "Libby was almost decapitated."  "Part of Libby's fingers were cut off."

Other points I am considering:

1.  If they were taken to a barn, this crime was well planned out prior to the attack.  The killer(s) knew one or both victims.  This could have been a sexual predator after one girl or it could have been someone wanting revenge.  If the latter, this guy(s) is a hunter on Deer Creek.

2.  If the attack, the entire event from start to finish happened in the woods where the bodies were found the possibility of it being a stranger crime increases but is not 100%.

3.  If one girl received the largest portion of the assault, a more brutal beating, a more gruesome condition left behind, she was a target.

4.  If one girl's face were left covered with clothing (a rumor) and the other were not, this shows remorse for one and completion of a job with the other.

5.  A time discrepancy in reference to the audio authorities have is in play as well.  One rumor states there is 6 minutes of audio, another states there is 40 minutes of audio.  We have no way of proving one over the other (as I have found yet) so, here, I'd ask you to just go with your own instinct on this crime.

Each day I try to focus on one part of the case.  Not the case as a whole.  It is difficult to do and I am hoping that through the things I write along with your input, your corrections (which I appreciate more than you all know), and all of  our dedication will produce at some point, a
solid suspect
