November 26, 2017

Mariah Woods, 3 years old, was last seen in bed by her mother, Kristy at approximately 11:00 p.m.

November 27, 2017

Earl Kimrey, the live in boyfriend of Mariah's mother stated he saw Mariah at approximate 12:00 a.m. and told her to go back to bed.

Kristy Woods reported Mariah missing to Onslow County Sheriffs Office at approximately 6:30.

An Amber Alert was issued.

November 28, 2017

The FBI joined the search in Onslow County for Mariah Woods.

The FBI held a joint press conference with Onslow County's Sheriff's Office.

U.S. Marines from nearby Camp Lejeune joined the search for Mariah Woods. 

Mariah's biological father, Alex Woods raised suspicion around the reports given by Kristy and Earl.  

November 29, 2017

Authorities confirmed the active search of a nearby body of water off High Hill Rd. 

Authorities released photographs of a woman carrying a child in Walmart that resembled Mariah.  It would later be confirmed that the child in question was not Mariah Woods. 

The Onslow County Sheriff asked the public to assist by searching their own property.

December 1, 2017 

The FBI stated Earl Kimrey was arrested in connection with the disappearance of Mariah Woods. 

Authorities said they believe Mariah Woods is dead, however her body has not been found.

Earl Kimrey held on $1 million bond, charged with concealing a death and obstruction of justice.  

December 2, 2017 

Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller stated a third party had lead them to the body of Mariah Woods.  Mariah's body was found in a creek and recovered by dive teams, about 25 miles from her home, in Pender County.

December 5, 2017

Court documents were leaked which alleged Mariah Woods had been sexually abused by her mother's live-in boyfriend, Earl Kimrey.  

December 6, 2017

The remains found in a creek in Pender County on December 2, were positively identified as those of 3 year old Mariah Kay Woods.
